Greetings, dear readers, and welcome to my blog! I’m just settling in here in the new space, and getting things together.

Your author, in all his
colorful glory.

I’m a writer, newly converted. Transitioning from the wage-slavery of the service industry over to the inspired freedom of a creative writing career. Currently located in Southern New Jersey, USA and working on multiple writing projects. These are aimed at release on an independent/self-published platform over the next two to three years.

Pen Names.

I’m writing under two different pen names, fair disclosure of that up front is only appropriate. One name for each of two different genres/categories.

The pen name this site belongs to (B.D. Thomas) will be publishing a series of four (4) non-fiction books. These books will feature a collection of comical, bizarre — and just plain crazy — anecdotal stories of life in the retail and healthcare industries. This pen name will remain as my non-fiction name for future projects.

My other pen name is dedicated to my science fiction and fantasy works. I haven’t decided on a final name yet.

Production Schedule.

The projected release for the first installment of my non-fiction project is Fall 2019. The other books in the series will follow at three month intervals.

I’ll be releasing the first in an expansive series of sci-fi/fantasy novels in Spring of 2020, with additional installments of the series coming as fast as I can write them. These will be released under the aforementioned second pen name.

I’d love to produce a full novel every six months. That will not happen while I’m working multiple “real” jobs, however. The realistic output will be closer to one book per year. This will remain the case unless and until my writing success allows me to leave the jobbing world and work exclusively as an author.

What am I Doing in the Mean Time?

In the mean time, my goal is to update the blog — and my facebook/social media author pages — at least once per week. I’ll publish the books as they’re ready, and see what happens. Wish me luck!

I’m looking forward to getting to know my visitors and readers. Building a great working relationship with my readers is my greatest goal. Please head over to my social media pages and feel free to take a look around. Contact me if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Thank you 🙂
