Three or four years ago I met a really cool guy online. He lives in Argentina. He was (and still is) sweet, funny, and intelligent; he also happens to be gorgeous, which is an added bonus. He helped me learn some Spanish — although I still suck at it — and I helped him refine his already quite impressive English a bit.
We talked EVERY. DAY. Sometimes all night and into the next morning. We really hit it off, but… We eventually drifted apart from each other a bit and each ended up in other relationships. We remained friends and still kept in touch, checking in on each other and catching up on what was going on in each other’s lives.
Last year, both of us came out of awful relationship situations which really messed us up. We started talking more again, and we haven’t stopped since. We spend hours chatting, discussing things, teaching and learning from each other, making each other laugh.
We’re special to each other, and there’s some sort of genuine love there, even though we’ve never met in person. I don’t know what my life would be like right now without him in it, and I look forward to the day I finally get to meet him — and hold him — in person.
His name is Gabriel, and today is his birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GABRIEL!
